Tubular Wheelsets for Sale
(2) complete Tubular wheel sets for sale. Currently glued up for cyclocross, but fully capable as road wheels as well. These are for rim brakes, not disc. Custom-built by 3-Spoke Studio in August of 2012, raced by an OVCX junior in 2012 and 2014. Not raced during the 2013 season due to injury. These were race wheelsets only, never used for training, and have plenty of races left in them.
Note that if you weigh more than 180 lbs, these may not be the best wheels for you.
The wheel sets themselves are identical:
Hubs: Velocity Race, black, 24F/28R
Rims: Velocity Major Tom, black
Spokes: Sapim Laser, Black
Nipples: Alloy, silver
Lacing: 2 cross front and rear
Skewers: Velocity (Sharp eyes will note that the skewers are missing from one photo. Don't worry, they are included, they were just out on a ride during the photo shoot)
Cassettes: SRAM PG-1070 12-27 (10 speed SRAM/Shimano compatible)
Set #1 is ready to race with fresh 2014 Clement PDX tires glued-up mid-November of 2014. If you look close, you might find shredded Austin tree roots clinging to the rubber. $350 for Set #1.
Set #2 has (1) 2012 Challenge Grifo (front) that may need re-glued soon, and (1) fresh 2014 Challenge Grifo (rear) glued-up mid-October of 2014. $300 for Set #2.
Buy both sets for $600.

Hello, do you happen to know if these will accept an 11-speed cassette? The Velocity website seems to imply that they currently do but I'm not sure if that is a recent design change or if they have always been that way.

Ryan, I checked the Velocity website and it looks like they introduced the 11-speed compatible hub in June of 2013. These hubs were purchased in August of 2012, so I'm confident that they are not 11-speed compatible.

Hi Ted, is set #2 still available? It took some looking into but I believe I figured out a solution to the 11-speed issue.

Ryan, sorry, set #2 was sold locally earlier this week. If for some reason the buyer doesn't follow through with payment/pickup in the next few days I will let you know and they can be yours.
