*Not bagging on your choice...
I really like the Tricross family from the Big S, however the problem I have with the Singlecross (just Specalizieds cause I race SScross too) is that they were lazy making it (lazy or thrifty?).
They used many the same parts as they use on their Langster fixed/track bikes (wheels and drive train).
So the Singlecross has a 120 spaced rear for the 120 track hub they use.
Seems kinda screwy.
I you could alwasy squeeze a 130 hub in there but I don't if thats really the greatest idea.
Not real hip on liner pull brakes with road levers either but thats another discussion
*nice job on the win all the same*
The fork is kinda heavy but has massive tire clearnce
You can run a 2.2 29er tire up there with room for mud
Another odd choice from SPC since the biggest you can get in the rear is around a 42
I think the fork would make a nice addition to a "monster cross" frame
the drivetrain in general isn't really right for cross. I had to change the cranks, chainring, upgrading the wheels (can't wait till next season) and tires, and want to swap out the brakes. I like the bike but I will have changed out everything but the frame, stem, handlebar, BB and Saddle by next season... However, my streak continues, as I won the CX4 race at the KY State Championships last weekend (I'm from TN so technically I'm not the champ) so I shouldn't be too hard on the bike.

Still, the track hub isn't ideal. I'm replacing the stock rear with a Surly track hub laced to Mavic Open Sport rims (future pit wheels).
I had no pit buddies that day to hand me a bottle. I also didnt need it?

Thats a GoPro camera on my head.
Here is my Slingshot DDX

Orbea Ciclocross, before I put a ec-90x on it.

Here are my CX machines. 2007 Cannondale Cadd 9 frames, Ritchey WCS forks, Full Sram Red, Ritchey WCS Components, TRP Mag Brakes, Crank Brother Pedals, Zipp 303's and Reynolds DV 46 with Challenge Tires.

This is my Dirty BH. Love the ride quality as well as it's handling abilities!

I just bought a Red Line Conquest to convert to a Single Speed. Should be built up this weekend.
Here is the bike I will be racing at Nationals. It's a hodgepodge of a team frameset, parts I had lying around and parts for review.

The only notable components are those being reviewed for the mag: Edge carbon tubular wheelset, Challenge 34c Fangos and Velo Orange adjustable cartridge brake shoes.

Oh yeah, I took these pictures about ten minutes ago, 3:00 p.m.
I live in Lawrence, Kan., 45 minutes away from the nationals course at Tiffany Springs Park. The snowfall there looks about the same...

Here is mine-Indy Fab CX

She's built as a single-ring, 42t up front with a 12-27 in the back. She's as close to a dream bike as I'll ever get.
