CX race in Flagastaff June 21st LOOKING FOR INOVATIVE BARRIERS/ COURSE

Hey! I am looking for ideas and or pics of cool barriers?! Logs? Definatly mud pit.

THOUGHTS? Help.

I'd say use the terrain you have to help make barriers cool...for the Ithaca GP I incorporate the steps in the "Amphitheater of Pain" which also provides a stage for the band.


The steps are about 16-18" tall, which is kind of hard to see in the pic.

Also, if you can get sponsors to provide banners, those always make for a nice way to separate the barriers from other parts of the course, plus sponsors will like the publicity. Most non-racers will hang out at the barriers anyway, so it is a great way to provide a little separation as well as signage for sponsors.

hows about logs? We were thinking of cutting some up and dragging them out on to the course. Other cool obstacles to include??
how about a teeter totter...
or some optional jumps!
