I cracked a Cane Creek carbon rim at DCCX and want to keep the hub, but get a different tubular rim.

I am not all that crazy about carbon (and not good enough so that it makes a difference), so what rim might folks out there recommend?

I dont' know how good they are yet but I just got a pair of 1400 gr alloy tubulars for $390 at http://www.neuvationcycling.com/wheels.html
cabo Wabo,
pls do tell me what you think of the Neuvation wheels ~ i was considering the clincher-suitable versions myself... currently riding on Mavic Ksyrium Elites from 2002-ish - a bit heavy... I was looking to put the neuvations on my Blue to shed some weight....

cheers,

I've been racing with a pair of 2007 R28 SL3's (clinchers) for the past two seasons and my 140 lbs body has not damaged them. I think they are up to a SL5 version now. If you are a bigger guy I think the M28 Aero3 would be better for you.

These have been the only wheels I have raced on since replacing the stock wheels on my Felt so I can't really compare them with any other wheels.
give some bontrager x-lite alluminums a try. I break every wheel I ride and this made it an entire season last year. Not super light but durable and built around DT swiss hubs! Nothing wrong with that!

There are several brands named here that are awesome non-carbon tubular rims.

Velocity Escape
and the
Mavic Reflex are probably your safest, easiest bets. However, I would look into the Ambrosio Crono F20's. Light and strong....what more do you want?
