I am having a new Gunnar Crosshairs built up with SRAM Rival and an Alpha-Q CX20 fork. For brakes, I am going with Paul Neo Retro up front, but what about the rear? Do folks using Paul brakes usually run Neo Retros front and rear, or a Neo Retro up front and a Touring Cantilever (lower profile) in the rear?

By the way, this is my first post here... Hi!

Touring in the rear tend to keep your calf from hitting the break on dismounts and remounts. I had Neo's front and rear, made the switch to Neo front and touring in the rear. Never looked back. Team Maxxis also runs this way, at least they did last year. Hope this helps.

BTW Weclome to the club!
Welcome. That is how I have my Pauls setup and I'd say that's how most people run 'em. Neo-Retro up front, and the touring canti in the rear, for exactly the reasons you suggested.

Cheers,
Tom
Yup ... chalk me up as number 3 to respond with the Neo front / Touring rear. Has worked well for me so far.
I guess I would be number for Neo Front and Touring in the rear. I like this set up.
