As the year draws to a close, take this time to give thanks, start rough drafting those new year's resolutions, and before you blindly renew that USA Cycling license, take pause to consider the very real possibility that you may need to CAT UP!

well played. this made my day, especially after what I saw on course today.

Those of you who enjoyed last year's installment will be delighted or decidedly nonplussed to know I wrote another one.

Things done changed, quoth Biggie Smalls, 1993.

Twenty years later, so did cyclocross rules done changed.

So we dig into it for your enjoyment.

seriously funny post.  and spot-on too.

can't comment on other regions, but i don't think the new rules help anything in New England.  the 3 field will be even more unbalanced and crowded.  in the bigger races, there's a good chance that at least 25% of that field will be lapped and potentially pulled with the race getting faster at the front and slower at the back.  that's not going to keep the racing "fair and fun" for a lot of folks.

glad to of master's age this year because being forced into New England's elite field isn't exactly what I'd call fair and fun either.  not that 35+ is a walk in the park, but at least I'll get to finish a race.
