Sorry if I miss spell words or forget periods bare with me hear,I raced in a CX race last season and rented a bike from my local LBS it was a trek Crockett 54,it was my first CX race and now I'm hooked,I bought a used Trek Cronus ultimate from a friend and love it but was in a hit and run accident and can no longer ride the bike,so I'll let you know this,in 2009 I was involved in an accident in which I broke my spine,I can't bend over much on my bike so I'm looking for suggestions for CX bike that have a great upright/relaxed geometry,I don't have the funds to buy custom so I want a bike that would be comfy for racing and such,is the Specialized Crux a upright frame?please help with suggestions.thanks and go!

I don't know how upright you need, but I've been riding a Trek Crockett now for several months and the reach feels very relaxed. I think that most production 'Cross bikes are going to give you a similar reach/upright feeling, so messing around with stem angle/position/length might be your best option. Otherwise I suppose you could look into some more adventure/touring oriented bikes (Soma Wolverine and Surly Straggler come to mind among others) since they'll have less of a race-oriented geometry and probably feel more upright, though I have limited experience with those other than the fact that they're on my wish list.

Hope that helps!
