I've got 74mm and even that's too low for me. I strike my pedal all the time on off cambers and tight turns.
But does it slow you down? The pedal strikes I mean.
I guess maybe it doesn't but it's kind of an unwanted distraction.
i had a 78 and it was way too low, my 180 cranks would wack everything that wasnt smooth, going 68 this year
SS or are you just really tall? 180s seem to be in the realm of 6'4" or taller.
6'3" and I run 180s on everything but the track bike which has 175s. short cranks are for short people.
