Are you really running the single speed category for 60 min with the 45 min b race at 12:30? Just seems odd that you would run a 60 min race at the same time as a 45 min race.
SVSU UPDATE:
Course is going to start and finish on the track (not a velodrome...unfortunately...but a running track). Hopefully the stands will be *PACKED* with cheering spectators...
There is a large hill (think Vet's Park) and we'll be running straight up it at least once. Word is there will be mini barriers (they're only tall if you're really short) that will help this process. Appropriate use of the off-camber nature of the hill will be incorporated as well. Nothing stupid...just good 'cross.
Course will consist of rubberized track, grass, asphalt, cement pavement, gravel, and dirt. It's going to be FAST so bring your file treads.
There will probably be two dismounts per lap - one double barrier and one runup.
Parking is best in lot C (seen on the campus map), with overflow parking available in lot E:

The track we're using is marked "27". The start/ finish straight will be heading north on the west side of the track. Most of the race will happen between the football field (50), track area (27), and (10), (34), (12), and the pond.
Whoa - race #2 in the StomachOfAnger series coming up with the RED ZONE CX race in Saginaw.

Wissink dominated the A race in Lansing. It will be interesting to see if he can continue his run.

Do you want to win a 'cross bike? Or do you KNOW someone that wants to win a 'cross bike?
Thanks to the awesome guys at B-Xtreme Cycle in Midland, racers at SVSU will be entered to win a NEW KHS CX-200 bike! The SVSU RED ZONE race is the second stop on the new Michigan independent cyclocross series.
Details to follow, but you can't win if you don't register!
Check the race website...
I admit that when I showed up to the Stomach Of Anger race in Lansing I had no idea what to expect, but it turned out to be a really fun and well organized event. The registration went quickly and without incident, which was nice. The course was nice and long, and the races themselves were well run.
There was almost no time between races. That isn't a bad thing, just different...
I did a lap before the first race and the course was pratty rough, but by the time I did my actual race (Bs) the course had smoothed out a LOT and was nicely "ridden in". By the Nov 19th race it should be like silk if people keep riding on it till then. You guys must have worked like heck to mow all of that ground, thanks for your efforts! Please put the race on again next year!
I like the idea of CX races in Lansing because it is a relatively central location, maybe another Lansing location would be good for a state championship race in the future?
