Hey John, I've already been checking out last years schedule to get an idea of when things will start up with the mtn bikes in the spring...which means I have also been researching mtn bikes on line. I would appreciate recommendations and suggestions from anyone. Probably looking for entry level to mid line bikes. Price is a big consideration. So I guess I'm officially hooked. When will I find time for my triathlons??

Gary, Your's was the first accident on that turn on lap one, so I was filming in a different direction. I saw you go down out of the corner of my eye and turned the camera. Unfortunately I didn't catch the initial action that led to your demise. I think I saw you walking up from the bottom section of the course a little later. I thought it was a mechanical. Hope the thumb gets better.

Jon - excellent video and nice song choice!! I always thought that Cake song went hand-in-hand with cyclocross. And, yes... that was me. It's weird, I still have no idea what happened. looks like I endo'd somehow... If you'll notice, my right brake hood is all askew. My right hand was probably still griping it when that happened, hence the thumb. Nice to have a look and try and figure out what happened... Damn thumb is still swollen and purple!

Any way - thanks for sharing!

Jon, thanks to you and your wife for another really cool video!

I will try to get a mountain bike before the spring too Mr. Osgood, I really felt the lack of off road skills during the 'cross season. I suppose cross country racing would help?

Jon, THAT WAS SWEET! Thanks for the props. Hopefully you pick up a mountain bike soon and look at jumping into some racing with us. You can never train for CX too soon in the year.

Joe -- Nationals in our own back yard???!!!! Now your talking! Sign us up!

I think it's a two year deal in Bend. Supposed to warm up out there for the weekend - might get a bit sloppy by Sunday.

Shit, there's more snow in Bend than there is here in Michigan. I bet it's colder too!

I'm going to submit Mad Anthony as a potential site for the 2011 US Cross Natz!!! We can't have any worse weather!

Here's a link to the video I put together of the last race of the year. Congratulations John and Curt on some strong finishes. Gary, I may have included your spill in the video. Sorry to hear about your thumb. Enjoy.

I am definitely planning on making Barry-Roubaix next year.

I think the one comment someone told me about it being very similar to Iceman makes this intriguing to me. Yes, it's an event that is reminiscent of the Paris-Roubaix road race in France. But MI gravel roads and what sounds like the inclusion of "rough two-track, rocks, sand, mud, and possibly snow and ice, along with 2200 feet of climbing" excites me.

Now, obviously with Iceman there's the inclusion of singletrack and terrain more suitable to MTB's, but Iceman can be done on a CXer (I know, I did it in '08). And as in Iceman, you've got groups of off-road riders working together much like in a road paceline. And we all know CXers handle road duties just fine - I use my CX bike for group, and individual, road rides all summer. So HE//, this should be fun!
