hello?!? Is anyone out there? It's been really quiet lately. Maybe too quiet... Anyone racing Bloomer Park? Only two races left to show your stuff. Unfortunately for me, my stuff may have gone into hibernation already.

Check out this video, pretty damn funny. Evidently hipsters are pushing up on 'cross. haha. Fixies are funny. I think someone ought to run some green Deep-V's next week.

When I'm not too tired/incompetent i'll figure out how to post it here.

Thanks SweetChicken! I thought I was totally blowing the race. I got off to my usual slow start and I felt pretty craptacular for most of the first lap. Then I heard the announcer mentioning a Wheels in Motion rider and wondered who he was talking about. I was very surprised by how it turned out. It was great being cheered on by 5 kids, 5 adults and 3 dogs though!

Now I know what happened to you. ;)

High end performance is fragile. A week vacation in FL and a barley fueled Sat. is not the ticket to success in cross on Sunday evidently. Congrats to Paul Steigerwald for his 2nd place finish. He was just showing off for his large cheering section.

I can't believe we only have two races left in the tailwind series. I'm going to get a little choked up...

I always like Stony Creek. The mix of mud, sand, hills, speed sections and turns this year made it better than ever and gave it some new character I hadn't seen before. Hat's off to Tailwind, and especially Joe Brown for dialing in a real 'cross course that made you use everything in the book (unfortunately I was missing a couple of chapters of said book). That maze along the slope to the right of the parking lot was diabolical. It seemed like it had to cross itself about six times. Amazing!

Well it's good to know that everyone else felt the same way during and after the race. I was thinking it was just me...

It was indeed a tough course, I had never been there before and I wasn't expecting it to be that draining. I felt destroyed after escaping the beach section after every lap. I liked the little section of mud too. It didn't seem like it was possible to put so many short rising sections in an area that small. In other words it was pure bliss...
