For those of you planning on going to the Midland Brewing Company after the race, they serve two things: Beer and Popcorn.

If you want food they welcome deliveries should you want to eat while at MBC. Steve Weckle sent me this list of three possible choices, although there are many places in Midland that will deliver to MBC:

Hometown pizza 245 Saginaw Rd Sanford is very close to the pub 989 687 7713
Subway 1900 N. Saginaw rd Midland is enroute to the Pub 989 832 5758
Pizza Hut 1516 n. Saginaw Rd Midland is enroute to the Pub 989 839 9935

Why wait for next year? There's a great race this weekend in Midland, the BIG BAD WOLF. I've got a warm-up story on the Crazy Bastard Blog today, but you can get the scoop direct on JB's site that has the where's, when's and how's. Did this race last year - total gas like of the SOA series races.

Raced the Detroit Invitational.   I recommend that everybody try to attend next year.  The pile of snow was unseasonably different.  The tequila shortcut was potentially devistating.  The mud sucked my shoe clean off and the powdered doughnut almost choked me.  Hopefully my snow angel inspired shortcut will be official next year.  Hell of a way to run a race.
