Joe - last year I believe MC from Velo City and some of the Macatawa boyz made it, but not sure if they're going this year.

A few years ago the Bell Lap was all that ... but I never liked that "flare." I like it even less now. The last thing I want to have, or to encounter, is something sticking out into the pack. Just because the manufacturer says something is 'cross-specific doesn't mean it IS. But don't worry, if you don't like them you can sell them pretty easily because they're 'cross specific. As to top-bar mounted brake levers ... just say no. And alloy, not carbon. The Deda Newton is a very nice bar - just make sure you get a Deda stem to match as I've heard (no first hand knowledge on that one) that the diameters aren't quite standard.

Salsa Bell Lap OS, Though i'm no authority. I got them cuz they said "cross specific" and I needed some bars for an F1x build I'm doing. FWIW the taper from the bulge to the bar is so long i'm struggling with cross lever position...

I am looking at the Deda Newton shallow.

Thoughts on alloy vs carbon?

WCS Ritchey's which work fine. If I had it to do over though I'd go with the Pro style bar, since they look so, uh, pro.

What style handlebar is everyone running? I have been looking at some different bars and looking for opinions.

Being the weight weenie that I am... What do your bikes weigh? Mine is currently just under 19lbs with all of the stock components, but should be close to 17 in race trim.

I'll hit that....if I can get my bike together by 9/12. But watch out, i've watched some YouTube videos on CX so i'm pretty much a pro now.
