I found day two a bit easier and way faster, but I go the same result... I had my first experience with a mechanical difficulty, my front shifter completely stopped working during the 4th lap and I couldn't shift into the big ring. It didn't affect my placing at all though, I just cross-chained like it was cool. The shifter is on it's way back to Shimano today, hopefully it will be back before the next race... It has me seriously thinking about a single ring set-up.

Hey thanks Gary! However, the best results of the weekend Were Curt Potocki's 3rd place both days. This is Curt's first taste of the podium since he has been racing cross! So it is a well deserved result. But look out now, there is a new player in town! Good job to everyone that made it out. It was tough both days.

Fun weekend of racing. Vets park is always a challenge, but is also a lot of fun.

Ya! Come up with a really cool logo and I'll see if I can get the MBRA to adopt it for the 2010 Michigan Cyclocross Cup series! T-shirts and waterbottles will follow!!!

OH How I love vets park!

Great racing out at Vet's Park today, the course was nice a soggy with some fun slippery off-camber sections. The run-ups were long, steep, and soft and there was a lot of climbing. Overall, not a bad course for a single speed :) The costume race was fantastic, so many excellent costumes and only riding 1/2 a lap made it a bit more accessible so that was cool too. Hopefully someone posts up pictures of the costumes. Running the course backwards tomorrow should be interesting, particularly with the soft run-ups now being descents, I hope they can give us a little more run-off room in a couple of spots or there's going to be a lot of stretched tape! See you guys tomorrow!

Hey gang,

Love to get a MI 'Cross logo going. One of the guys in this group is an art director (I work with him) maybe he can take a stab at something...? Hell, we could even have a few folks come up with something and have a vote. Real democratic-like.

Big fun at Vets Park today. Soggy, muddy and a couple really hellish run-ups. More fun to be had tomorrow!

Vet's Park Ann Arbor day 1 was a fun and really tough course. The mud was great. I had to split after the C race due to kid commitments so I missed the beer and the costume race. I will do the race tomorrow and stick around to watch and cheer on the other racers. The course in reverse will be interesting...
