You're right! Male frontal nudity is still taboo. I had completely forgotten about that. But i suppose once you see it in a movie, it would look so out of place since it's only happened in about maybe three total mainstream movies shown in the US.
I remember many years ago, when i entered my first bike race, I saw more frontal, side, rear nudity than i'd seen in my whole life - and i hadn't even left the parking lot! And that evening put it over the top with the Mt. Snow Naked Criterium - which i was forced to enter by the way! To this day, i don't think i ever rode that fast in my life. Maybe it was because the race is run so that the last person crossing the finish line after every lap has to take an item of clothing off. At the end, I was fully clothed so they stopped me and forced me to remove my 18 layers revealing a Christine half the size. Afterwards, we all rode around naked for a few more laps 'for fun.' Thanks Team Brooklyn for organizing that fateful event back in 1994.
