Kisscross #4: Cannonsburg Ski Area

Had another fun race. It was nice to get out on the new bike and put it through its paces. I might be sold on gears (at least for some of the time:) The Kona Jake is a great bike, super comfortable, stable, can't say enough. There were 38 racers in the B's and I was in the middle of the pack going into the first barrier section. I have been pretty smooth on and off the bike this season...until that first section yesterday! Stacked it into the barrier. Looked like a DOUCHE lol. By the time I got back up and ran through the back of the group had passed and I was off the back. I had to stop and straighten out my brake lever and make sure everything was working and lost a lot of time. I am not sayin' I could have held on and finished in the top half, but I think I could have held off some people at the back and not been DFL. On the brighter side I won a 6 pack of Founder's Brewing Red's Rye! Founder's was putting on the race with Kisscross and the atmosphere was really fun. Especially at the optional stream crossing:) I wish I would have seen Dan lauch his MTB halfway across the stream in the B race! I took some pics and vids of the A race at the stream crossing after my race. Also got to hang out and drink some brews afterwards. CX Racing + cool people + Founder's Beer = Amazing Sunday morning....well all day Sunday:)
