Problems with Mavic Open Pro wheels and Specialized Captian 2bliss tire setup

I have been trying to run Stans No Tubes on Mavic Open Pro rims with the Specialized Captian CX tubless ready tires and am having problems with burping.  The tires seem to seal up fine and I can not get them to burp by hand.  However, everytime I do a remount on hardpack or pavement, the rear tire burps out air, so much so that the tire will be flat within a few laps.  I have tried runing two layers of velox rim tape under the rim strip (not sure I would be able to get the tire on with three layers) and runing pressures as high as 40psi with little success.  Also, I am a heavy rider, approx 200lbs, and my remounts can be rough sometimes.  Anyone else been able to run this wheel/tire combo successfuly?  Any ideas on how I can solve the burping?

We've had great luck with the Specialized Captain cyclocross clincher run tubeless on different rims, and I'm not sure it was 2bliss ready. I think part of the problem might be the narrow Mavic Open Pro rim - definitely not a conversion favorite around here.  At your weight, 40 psi doesn't sound that high, depending on course and riding style.

But you might try a different tire. The Specialized tires aren't that tight...and thus we've had luck mostly on the Stans 29er rims.  Maybe give a carbon bead Hutchinson or another tire a try?
