I just got a Specialized Singlecross that has everything except for the wheelset. I don't know anything about cross wheels and would appreciate any insight you guys have.

What should I look for when buying a wheelset? Can I use road wheels or will they get trashed? (I'm 150lbs) Thanks!

I too have a singlecross and weight slightly more than you - you can definitely use road wheels. It has track hub rear (120mm) spacing, as opposed to mtn hub spacing (135mm), so keep that in mind.

Hope that will get you started!
Is there any reason not to go with the Vuelta Pista Track or Pro Track Wheelset?
just make sure the "track" wheelset is a true flip/flop, meaning one side has FULL threads for a freewheel...
