So as I scrambled back to the car right before call-ups today to readjust my front brake, I remembered that some have added a regular old barrel adjuster to the Euro X style cantis. After some searching, I have found the kit from Tektro at ~$30. I have two regular adjusters and lots of time. What's the best DIY method for this? Drill and tap the round pinch bolt? Or is there a way to mount just above the stem hanger? Pics would be great, I have searched for a while and can't find anything on the site or google.

Thanks.

Hey Chris, I did this not by tapping the pinch bolt side, but tapping the fixed side of the straddle cable. Threaded it to accept an STI-style barrel adjuster. I would note though that the first straddle cable I had in there was a tight fit, and so it eventually seized in the barrel adjuster, so turning the adjuster torqued the cable head as well, not-so-useful... So I now use a cable with a slightly smaller button/head and make sure to put a touch of grease in there as well, and bingo... Hope that helps some!
