That's right JP won the Chequmegon 40 in Wisconsin. I did'nt even know he owned a mountain bike... So is this good news for his form coming into the CX season?

He didn't own one till last week. But its a wicked nice one...

Don't forget he turned pro on Diamond Back back in the Gunnar Shrogren days.

The Chequamegon Fat Tire race isn't a technical mountain bike race as it is ski trails, logging roads, fire roads, etc. There are plenty of sketchy places with big mud holes, rocky descents and such but no singletrack (the area has great singletrack but the race is 1700 people in a mass start). Jonathan raced a very smart race and luckily pre-rode the end of the course the day before so he knew where would be places that he could get away. I can say that he looked super strong at the finish!
