So, I've been conned into doing the industry race at CrossVegas next week, which looks like a fast, grass course.

Anyone have any clincher suggestions for such a course? I've got Michelin Mud's on my clinchers right now, but those seem like overkill for sure.

Alternate to clinchers would be Grifo 32 tubulars....but I'm not positive I can get them glued up in time.

mark, did you see our issue 3? everything is in there. :-)

try a jet, mezcal, speedmax, at least on the rear, those would be pretty fast. i usually like a bit more tread in the front. call me asap and i can bring you something. see our site contact info.

got an extra bike for us to ride? looking for a ride that day. wired magazine = industry? :-)
Media is one of the categories.

I do have issue 3, but not here at the office, and I'm having that instant gratification problem.

I'll give you a ring....
I'm not much help on the tires but I am jealous that you're going to CrossVegas. I do a lot of Trade shows for my job(sales) but none of them are fun in any way. This one would be really cool to attend or even work at.
Run a jet and a mud....and the course is grass, deep energy sapping grass. I'll see you at the line.

It's gonna be more fun than anything brotherin, dont get too caught up in the techy crap. Look for the SQUIRT LUBE team throwing out samples during the race....from the race. Out!
We will also be at the Cactus Cup....
How about the Challenge Grifo XS "open tubular" clinchers? They have the file tread w/ knobs on the outside, and a supple casing.

I run a Michelin Jet on the rear and Mud2 in front for "grassy" courses.
Keep in mind that the course in on soccer fields. The sprinklers run fairly regularly there, so you do run the chance of having some nice slick wet spots. A semi-slick might not be the best choice. Maybe something like the Maxxis Mimo, or a Vredestien. Just my 2 cents.
Maxxis Mimo would be a good option. Really similar tread to a lot of the Euro tubies. Michelin Jet is also a good call.
I've raced the Michelin Jet's plenty of times when it was just dry grass to deal with and had no issues. The dry-condition version of the Grifo is also good and comes in either a tuby or clincher.
