Does anyone know what year Specialized, Vittoria, or Vredestein manufactured their first clincher 'cross tires?

Thanks.

well, I know that these Speciailized TriCross clincher tires are from 1984 or older...they were actually originally ridden by my dad (27" wheel) and then I inherited them and raced them. If I remember correctly, he bought them on blow-out from Nashbar at the time, which might mean they were a few years old already.

Dan, a bit more info from my cobweb-cluttered brain:  I remember IRC having their cross-country 27" and 700c tire available a long time ago - at least from the late 1980's and that tread was available for a while - prob past the late 90's.

here's a pic:

Wow! Great stuff. I'll try and contact IRC to find out when that tire was made. Thanks for the reply (and the photos).
