It seems the debate goes on...and tubeless is picking up steam with more vendors producing tubeless specific wheelsets and tires.  Any opinions/insights on what will be the hot set-ups in 2011?

Disc brake, tubeless, 29er. So hot right now.

chris,

which would you do?  convert existing kinlin/white clinchers to tubeless...or spend $$$ for a new tubeless wheelset?

i'm still old school with a 26er mtb, and canti brakes ;-)

Love my Stan's both road and cross, just be sure to use the right tires on the road.
I'm now leaning towards tubulars. What do people think about Williams 38s vs an alloy handbuilt at similar weight but lower rim profile? Thanks in advance

williams is great, i have heard mixed reviews with the stock seal bearings, but they are decent. I would go a little something like this

Velocity 23mm Major Toms (the 23mm rim width give GREAT handling on off cambers)

Challenge Tires

Shimano Hubs or Velocity

DT swiss revolution spokes with brass nipples, durable AND light...

there are more posts about cheap AND light wheelsets, I am not sure about durability....

thanks Joey...it seems there's some pretty good options at very affordable prices.
Extremely happy with Williams Tubies, excellent customer support as well. GREAT WHEEL. Tough as hell also.
