I am building up a new race rig and have a choice to make between two forks I have in my possession. I don't have enough personal experience to make an educated guess so I thought I'd throw the question out to the community.

I have a 4ZA Python that has been raced a few seasons and I have a brand new uncut and un-epoxy'd Alpha Q CX20. What do you think? Do I go with the older (and lighter) fork and keep the Alpha Q unblemished for now? Or is the Alpha Q so much a superior fork that its better off I run that?

Whadda ya think?

Ugh, avoid that Python at all costs. It is very very whippy. I had a bike with one and basically refused to ride it. I sold it to someone else and got a call three hours later saying they refused to ride it. Those Alpha Q forks were gold.
Thats sort of what I was thinking. I just needed some validation. I rode the Python last season but that was after switching from a steel fork. It was at least an improvement over that. Alpha Q it is.
Love my AQ and they warrantied my first one like I was a pro rider!
