I like the Tektro's too. They are cheap and easily adjustable. Get Kool Stop Salmon pad though. They are ALOT better than the stock black pads that come with it.

you're less concerned about standover (assuming you have some) but more with reach (top tube length) and bottom bracket drop, as mark indicated. standover can vary despite the same bb drop / height, and vice versa due to sloping or compact frames.…

I'm also running a 46X38 with a 12-27 cassette. It gives a good range. As for brakes, I'm using the Tektro CR720's. I like these a lot. They offer lots of adjustment with plenty of pulling power.

thanks. my dad and i looked at my stand over height on my road and stand over on the cross bike. it is 4cm higher on the cross bike. is this a problem?

There's a lot of versions of 52cm frame out there so take a look at your road geometry including Bottom Bracket drop (very important) and how they measure a 52, there's a lot of variation. You will use a little short reach for the cross bike however…

My road bike is a Orbea aqua mix of chorus and record, reynolds assaults. My TT bike is a Orbea aletta full record and 808's. P.S. for those who know him its nate browns old one haha. Coming soon cross bike is a redline 2010 conquest pro with chorus and ksyriums.
