I have one but I love it too much to sell it. I got it from Bikeman, they have reasonable prices, plus are quite cross knowledgeable. Good luck in your search.

I love loose-ball hubs just because I'm old skool and like the idea of repacking them with grease easily. also, you could always rent another type of wheel from gabe at echappe to see if you'd prefer something else, like a blinged-out carbon model,…

The American Classic hubs are pretty sweet. I've built them up with both the Micro road hubs and the 105 MTB hubs to the Velocities. Every place is super low on inventory right now. I have a set of velocity rims with 105 AC MTB hubs laced to them,…

White Industries and Chris King are very good but more $$$. Velocity are the best for the money I have seen, ultegra are a little more and heavier. http://www.velocityusa.com/default.asp?contentID=570

I like the Tektro's too. They are cheap and easily adjustable. Get Kool Stop Salmon pad though. They are ALOT better than the stock black pads that come with it.

Check out my 2009 Ridley Crossbow frameset - 50cm. Ridley has "different" geometry, so be sure to check it out. http://cowbell.cxmagazine.com/forum/topics/fs-2009-ridley-crossbow

you're less concerned about standover (assuming you have some) but more with reach (top tube length) and bottom bracket drop, as mark indicated. standover can vary despite the same bb drop / height, and vice versa due to sloping or compact frames.…

I'm also running a 46X38 with a 12-27 cassette. It gives a good range. As for brakes, I'm using the Tektro CR720's. I like these a lot. They offer lots of adjustment with plenty of pulling power.
