Hi All - I posted something similar for a skinsuit group buy, but I didn't really hit on the fact I'm starting/growing this (non)team for crazy CX racers.

Last season I arranged several skinsuit group buys for budding CX racers and ended up posting race reports and pictures from folks from all over the world.

This year, I'm looking for more riders of all abilities to fly the colors of pain and suffering. I've worked up a simple skinsuit (and jersey if you don't like the skinsuit idea) and teamed with Sommerville Sports to handle the commercial aspects of the garments. Last year there was a complicated ordering process with PayPal, waiting, waiting, waiting and finally shipping. This is still a non money making venture for me. I just love CX and crazy CX racers.

If you love cyclocross and can't or don't want to be part of a local team, please consider riding for The Algea Velo. I post ride reports and pictures of you crushing it out there and use Crossresults.com to populate a cool race results ticker.

The Algea are the mythological spirits of pain and suffering. We may not be as fast as the elite racers, but we suffer just the same.

Nicely done! I'll check out your links. Good to see another CX-centric team coming out of Bellingham this year - we added also Kulshan Cycling (my project) and Trailhead Athletics!

Despite the fact you call yourself a non-local non-team, I will think of you as a Hamster!

See you in the mud,

Thanks man.  Can't wait for the mud.  I love that Bellingham breeds crazy CX racers.

I got the message this morning: "You look fast, I don't think I'm worthy to fly to colors". My response was:
You are absolutely worthy to the fly the colors. I look fast because I've got the skinsuit on! The folks racing in the morning are suffering just the same as the folks racing in the afternoon. Even if you don't buy the skinsuit or the jersey, you can be on the (non)team. Send me some shots of you racing, send me race reports and I'll post 'em up.

If you choose to get a skinsuit or jersey, the first group buy closes on July 1st to have gear hear in late August in time for the September CX races.

Thanks for all the feedback so far, the first skinsuit group buy ends tonight! I'll post more pictures once the gear arrives.

The first gear arrived and looks great and thanks to Molly's laundry tips, the white came out sparkling clean after a

particularly muddy weekend race. The pictures at the bottom were taken after washing.
