we have an early look at next year's UCI calendar. USGP adds the planet bike weekend in WI, and the east coast expands with more UCI racing. Socal's UCI race is missing...looks like the shift in UCI points goes even further east. There's three UCI races to open the season, and a new NYC night race.

Schedule can be found here.

As a guy origionally from the midwest... looks good to me. I'm a bit bummed the Kentucky race got removed from the Ohio weekend. That course is a blast but last year just didn't add up for the weekend's atmosphere. Not to mention, with more races in the central part of the country I can throw the excuse of "going to see family" as a reason to head to wisconsin, and "going to visit friends" in the northeast more!

I like the friday addition to Jingle Cross. May have to make it out there this next year. Time to start hunting down some monetary sponsorship I suppose.
The Darkhorse Cyclo-Stampede C2 is scheduled for Friday, October 9, 2009 in Burlington, KY.

Good seeing you again Dave!
That's great Mitch. I was just going to ask you about that.

I don't know how it didn't add up for the weekend. The races were on a school day, you're just not going to get that many people out. I think from a spectating design standpoint those might be 3 of the best races I've ever been to. Some venues have a natural point from which to watch but those races *created* one.
As a Chicagoan, I am really excited to have two of the USGP weekends within a 5 hour drive. How many months until cross starts again?
