I would build with at least double butted 14/15 spokes. If these wheels are doing double duty for road season, might just use Sapim CX-Rays or DT Swiss Aerolites. But a crash and broken spoke can be costly.

I've built all my cross wheels with Wheelsmith DB14 spokes. They are cheap and plenty strong.
okay great thx for the input.
additionel info, its 32 front and 32 rear, and maybe 3 intersections on the rear wheel and maybe only go for to front.
Thx again
We build our Echappe Classics wheels with DT Swiss Competition spokes, which are double butted. 1.8-2.0. We also offer the CX-Ray spokes, but have only sold those to riders 140lbs and under.
Okay nice to know
im 178 lb(now and in season about 170) and 188 cm tall, So CX will not work then, so i think i will go for the DT Comp spokes.
Thx Again
