I'm working on a piece for an upcoming issue of CXM discussing the role of UCI commissaires in the sport. Are there any burning questions you have that you would like me to try and get answered? I've no intentions of putting any of the persons I'm interviewing on the hot seat, so, while I'm planning on lightly addressing some controversial issues in the sport (doping controls, barrier use, in-race infractions), I won't ask about specific cases or issues.

Also, if anyone has any photos of UCI officials, could I use them for the article? The photographer would get credit for the image and a great deal of thanks from me; however, no monetary compensation will be provided.

Thanks.

Here's a photo my wife took at the SoCal Prestige Series UCI race last November:

I'd love to hear about the rule regarding feeding in races. If memory serves, feeding is allowed only at the discretion of the chief commissaire (or chief ref). There are some officials here in SoCal who don't allow feeding even when it's 75+ F out.

Great!

Thanks for the response.

Could you send me a personal message and let me know your wife's name, for credit purposes, in the event that the photo is used?

Thanks again Dave.
