For those of you who are thinking about promoting, one of your biggest hurdles will be insurance coverage as most may already know. If you are putting your race on as a sanctioned event you will be able to get insurance from your sanctioneing body more than likely. If you are in a position to attempt to do independent races...you will need a company that will cover both you and your venue owners for liability issues....Here is a contact for you.

How did it work out? Cost?

The Dirt Derby has used McKay and Frickey (Houston) with good results. USAC is a challenge because we offer both Short Track MTB and CX.
I ended up going through the ACA which is $3/racer, pretty reasonable.
