About Me:
We specialize in working closely with land managers, government organizations, and local businesses to use athletic events to generate positive exposure to a valuable demographic. Pirate Race Productions has a sophisticated registration and scoring system that simplifies race management and expedites posting accurate results. We excel at designing unique, fun, and safe courses that maximize spectator appeal.
Pirate Race Productions founded the Dirt Derby, the only weeknight, fully-illuminated, off-road race series in the United States as well as the Lonestar Cyclocross Series and the High Country Cyclocross Series.
We have partnered with or helped produce events including the inaugural Camp Eagle MTB Festival and the Rapha Roller Races.

Current plans for 2010 include the Lone Star Cyclocross Festival, Boone-Roubaix, a Masters category Stage Race and Omnium in the mountains of North Carolina, cross country, endurance, and gravity mountain bike races in the Boone area, the High Country’s first weekly criterium series, and a Three Peaks-style cyclocross epic.

Mellow Johnny's Bike Shop has signed on as the presenting sponsor of the Texas Age-Based State Cyclocross Championships Saturday January 16, and will be on site providing neutral support all weekend!

Saw your conversation about converting a bike between SS and geared for races on the same day. I think you'll need to change the chain like you had mentioned. You can use the derailleur as a tensioner, but you'll need to shorten the chain to bring the lower pulley forward to take advantage of all the spring tension you can get from the derailleur. You need to have the chain as tight (and therefore as short) as you can to keep it from skipping gears, especially with all the bouncing in cross.
